How to Grow your Dental Practice in 90 Days using Claude AI - A Practical Playbook for Indian Dentists

Updated: Mar 25

By Dr. Ishan Martin | HappyDr.co.in

I'll admit it — when I first started using Claude, I wasn't sure how useful an AI would be for a dental practice. Clinical skills? That's still entirely on you. But everything around the practice — the content, the communication, the admin, the marketing — that's where Claude quietly becomes one of your most productive team members.

This guide is a 90-day playbook for Indian dentists who want to grow their practice using Claude as a tool. Not as a replacement for your expertise, but as a force multiplier for everything else.

What Is Claude, and Why Should a Dentist Care?

Claude is an AI assistant made by Anthropic. Think of it as a highly capable assistant you can talk to in plain language — you type or paste something, and it writes, edits, summarizes, explains, or plans for you.

For a dental practice, that means:

•      Writing patient education content in minutes instead of hours

•      Drafting WhatsApp follow-up messages that actually sound human

•      Creating social media captions, Google Business posts, and blog articles

•      Summarising treatment plans in language patients can understand

•      Generating scripts for your front desk staff

•      Helping you think through pricing, packages, and service positioning

You don't need any technical skills. If you can type a message, you can use Claude.

Phase 1 (Days 1–30): Set Up Claude as Your Practice's Content Engine

The first 30 days are about establishing Claude as a consistent tool in your workflow — not using it once and forgetting about it.

Task 1: Create a 'Practice Prompt' You Use Every Time

Before you ask Claude anything, give it context about your practice. Copy and paste this at the start of every conversation:

Your Starter Prompt (customise and save this)

"I am a dentist running a [single-chair / multi-chair] dental clinic in [city]. My clinic is called [name]. My typical patients are [families / working professionals / children / seniors]. My tone should be warm, simple, and trustworthy — not too clinical. Help me with the following:"

This one habit makes every output from Claude immediately relevant to your clinic — instead of generic content you have to rewrite anyway.

Task 2: Write 30 Days of Patient Education Content

Patient education is the single highest-leverage content type for a dental practice. It builds trust, answers objections before they arise, and makes patients more likely to follow treatment plans.

Ask Claude:

Prompt to try

"Give me 12 Instagram caption ideas educating patients about common dental myths — in simple Hindi-English mix, suitable for a general audience in India."

In 10 minutes, you'll have a month's worth of content ideas. Then ask Claude to write each one out fully, one by one.

Task 3: Fix Your Google Business Profile Description

Most dental clinics have a GBP description written in 2019 that says something like 'We provide quality dental care.' Claude can write something far better.

Prompt to try

"Write a Google Business Profile description for my dental clinic in [city]. We specialise in [services]. Our USP is [e.g., painless treatment, weekend appointments, child-friendly]. Keep it under 200 words, friendly, and SEO-optimised for 'dentist in [area name]'."

Phase 2 (Days 31–60): Use Claude for Patient Communication

By Day 31, you've got content flowing. Now use Claude to improve how you communicate with patients — before, during, and after their visit.

Task 4: Build a WhatsApp Follow-Up Message Library

Ask Claude to write a library of follow-up messages for different scenarios:

•      Post-extraction care instructions

•      RCT completion — what to expect

•      Recall reminder after 6 months

•      Appointment confirmation the day before

•      'We miss you' message for patients who haven't visited in a year

Prompt to try

"Write a warm, friendly WhatsApp message to send a patient 2 days after their root canal. Include what's normal, what's not, and when to call us. Keep it under 100 words."

Build a folder of 10–15 such messages. Your front desk can send these in seconds — no writing required.

Task 5: Simplify Your Treatment Plan Explanations

One of the biggest reasons patients delay treatment is that they don't understand what's happening in their mouth. Claude can translate your clinical explanation into plain language.

Prompt to try

"Explain why a patient needs a crown after an RCT, in simple terms a 45-year-old non-medical person in India would understand. Avoid jargon. Keep it reassuring and honest."

Print this out or save it. Show it to patients during consultation. Treatment acceptance rates go up when patients understand the 'why.'

Task 6: Write Your First HappyDr-Style Blog Post

A blog post about a topic your patients Googled before coming to you is free, permanent SEO traffic. Ask Claude:

Prompt to try

"Write an 800-word blog post titled 'Is a Root Canal Really That Painful? An Indian Dentist Explains.' Write in a warm, reassuring tone. Include a short FAQ at the end."

Phase 3 (Days 61–90): Scale With Claude as Your Strategy Partner

By now, Claude is saving you 3–5 hours a week. In the final phase, use it for higher-level thinking — not just content creation.

Task 7: Create a Premium Service Launch Plan

Want to start promoting clear aligners, implants, or a smile makeover package? Ask Claude to help you plan the launch:

Prompt to try

"I want to launch a teeth whitening package at my clinic priced at ₹3,500. Help me create: (1) a name for the package, (2) a one-paragraph description, (3) 3 Instagram posts to promote it, and (4) a WhatsApp message to send existing patients."

This would normally take a full weekend. With Claude, it takes 20 minutes.

Task 8: Use Claude to Prepare for Patient Objections

Every dentist faces the same objections: 'It's too expensive.' 'Can we wait?' 'I'll think about it.' Ask Claude to help you respond better:

Prompt to try

"A patient says their treatment is too expensive and they want to delay. Give me 3 empathetic, honest responses I can use that address their concern without being pushy or dismissive."

Role-play these with your team. Better objection handling alone can meaningfully improve case acceptance.

Task 9: Build a Monthly Newsletter for Your Patient List

A monthly WhatsApp broadcast or email newsletter keeps your practice top of mind. Ask Claude:

Prompt to try

"Write a short, friendly monthly newsletter for my dental clinic for the month of [month]. Include: one dental health tip, one seasonal reminder (e.g., school exams coming up — get kids checked), and a soft call to book an appointment. Keep it under 150 words."

12 newsletters a year. That's 12 touchpoints with every patient on your list — fully automated with Claude.

One Important Reminder

Claude is a tool — an extremely useful one — but it doesn't replace your clinical judgment, your relationship with patients, or your expertise. Always review anything Claude writes before using it. Check that clinical information is accurate. Add your personal touch.

What Claude does is remove the friction between your ideas and the finished output. You still bring the expertise. Claude brings the speed.
